Last Updated: May 2025

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website bothlearners.com and all mentoring, coaching, and professional development services provided by Both Learners, operated by Bilal Khan (FCCA, ACA — ICAEW) ("Both Learners," "we," "our," or "us"). By accessing our website, submitting an enquiry, or engaging any of our services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms in full.

If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use our website or engage our services.

1. About Both Learners

Both Learners is a professional mentoring and coaching platform founded in 2018 by Bilal Khan (FCCA, ACA — ICAEW Member), a dual-qualified Chartered Accountant and Senior Associate at PwC Pakistan. Both Learners provides premium academic mentoring and life coaching services to students and professionals across more than seven countries worldwide.

Both Learners operates as an independent professional services platform. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of ACCA, ICAEW, Oxford Brookes University, the University of London, or any other examining or awarding body.

2. Services Offered

Both Learners currently provides the following professional services:

  • ACCA OBU BSc in Applied Accounting Mentoring (Alumni): Expert guidance on the Research and Analysis Project (RAP), topic selection, research methodology, draft review, and submission support. This programme has been discontinued by ACCA; mentoring is now provided for alumni reference purposes.
  • ACCA PER & EPSM Guidance: Structured support for documenting the Practical Experience Requirement (PER), completing all five Performance Objectives, and navigating the Ethics & Professional Skills Module (EPSM) towards full FCCA membership.
  • University of London BSc Mentoring: Academic mentoring for the UoL BSc in Accounting & Finance, covering exam strategy, assignment guidance, subject support, and study planning for working professionals.
  • ICAEW Membership Pathway Route Mentoring: First-hand mentoring for ACCA members and other eligible professionals pursuing the ICAEW ACA qualification via the Membership Pathway Route, covering eligibility, competency requirements, exam support, and the application process.
  • Life Coaching: Holistic, personalised life coaching incorporating personality development, goal-setting, numerology, astrological insights, mindset transformation, and spiritual self-development.
  • Career Development Coaching: Professional coaching for career transitions, interview preparation, professional profile development, and workplace performance improvement.

All services are delivered online via video call (Zoom, Google Meet, or an agreed alternative) unless a different format is expressly agreed in writing. Service scope, structure, and scheduling are confirmed prior to commencement through an initial discovery or consultation session.

Both Learners reserves the right to introduce new services, modify existing services, or discontinue any service at any time, with reasonable notice provided to active clients.

3. Engagement Process

Formal engagement with Both Learners begins upon mutual agreement of the service scope, timeline, deliverables, and fees. The engagement process typically follows these steps:

  • Discovery Call: An initial free consultation (typically 15–30 minutes) to understand your background, goals, and service requirements. This call is completely non-binding and carries no obligation on either party.
  • Proposal & Agreement: Following the discovery call, a service proposal outlining the scope, structure, timeline, and fees is communicated in writing (email). Engagement commences only upon your written confirmation (email reply or signed agreement).
  • Payment: Payment is requested in accordance with the agreed terms (full upfront, milestone-based, or session-by-session, as agreed). Service commencement is subject to receipt of the agreed initial payment.

4. Fees & Payment

All fees are personalised based on the service selected, the scope of engagement, and your specific requirements. Fees are communicated clearly and in writing prior to any payment being requested.

  • All fees are quoted and confirmed in writing before engagement commences.
  • Accepted payment methods will be communicated at the time of engagement confirmation.
  • All fees are quoted in the agreed currency (typically PKR, GBP, or USD, depending on your location).
  • Both Learners reserves the right to revise its fee structure for new engagements at any time. Fee changes will not apply to ongoing engagements already in progress without prior written agreement from both parties.
  • Where applicable, any bank transfer charges, currency conversion fees, or transaction costs are the responsibility of the client.

5. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

We value your time and ask that you equally respect ours. Our cancellation and rescheduling policy is as follows:

  • 24-Hour Notice: Sessions cancelled or rescheduled with at least 24 hours' prior notice will be rescheduled at no additional charge, subject to availability.
  • Late Cancellations: Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice may be charged at up to 50% of the session fee at our discretion, depending on circumstances.
  • No-Shows: Failure to attend a scheduled session without prior notice will be treated as a forfeited session and may be charged in full.
  • Emergency Circumstances: We understand that genuine emergencies arise. In such cases, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible and we will do our best to accommodate rescheduling without penalty.
  • Both Learners Cancellations: In the unlikely event that we need to cancel a scheduled session, we will provide as much notice as possible and reschedule at a time that suits you, at no additional cost.

6. Refund Policy

We are committed to delivering high-quality mentoring and coaching services. Our refund policy reflects this commitment while remaining fair to both parties.

  • Pre-Commencement Cancellations: If you cancel before the first session has taken place, a full refund will be issued minus any administrative or processing fees incurred.
  • Mid-Engagement Cancellations (Package Services): For multi-session packages, refunds may be issued for unused sessions at our discretion, subject to an administrative fee and deduction for any materials, time, or preparation already invested.
  • Completed Sessions: Fees for sessions that have already taken place are non-refundable.
  • No Outcome-Based Refunds: Refunds are not provided on the basis of examination results, assessment grades, or qualification outcomes, as these depend on multiple factors entirely outside our control, including the effort and preparation of the student.
  • Life Coaching: Due to the highly personalised nature of life coaching, refunds for completed sessions are not available. Where a client wishes to discontinue a package, a pro-rata refund for genuinely unused sessions may be considered at our discretion.

All refund requests must be submitted in writing to Info@bothlearners.com within 14 days of the relevant session, event, or payment. We will acknowledge your request within 3 working days and aim to resolve all refund matters within 14 working days.

7. Client Responsibilities

To ensure the best possible outcome from your mentoring or coaching engagement, you agree to the following responsibilities:

  • Provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information about your qualifications, experience, goals, and any relevant deadlines at the outset of engagement.
  • Attend all scheduled sessions punctually and prepared, having completed any agreed pre-session tasks or readings.
  • Complete agreed tasks, draft submissions, exercises, or reflections between sessions as directed, to maximise the value and effectiveness of the mentoring.
  • Communicate openly and honestly with your mentor to enable the most relevant and effective guidance.
  • Maintain respectful, courteous, and professional conduct in all interactions with Both Learners.
  • Take full personal responsibility for all decisions, actions, and submissions made as a result of guidance received. Both Learners provides guidance and support — the ultimate responsibility for your work, career, and life decisions remains with you.
  • Comply independently with all rules, regulations, and requirements of the relevant examining or awarding body (ACCA, ICAEW, OBU, University of London, etc.). It is your responsibility to verify current requirements directly with the relevant body.

8. Academic Integrity

Both Learners is firmly committed to the highest standards of academic integrity. Our mentoring services are designed to educate, guide, and support — never to compromise the integrity of any academic qualification or assessment.

  • All submitted academic work — including RAP projects, assignments, portfolios, and examinations — must be the student's own original work.
  • Both Learners will not write, complete, ghost-write, or submit any academic work on behalf of any student under any circumstances.
  • Mentoring sessions are structured to help you understand, develop, and apply skills — not to provide ready-made answers or completed work.
  • Any attempt to use our services for academic fraud, collusion, or misrepresentation will result in the immediate termination of the engagement without refund.
  • Both Learners accepts no liability for any academic misconduct investigation, penalty, or outcome arising from a student's own actions or submissions.

9. Intellectual Property

All content, materials, frameworks, templates, methodologies, tools, and resources provided by Both Learners — whether delivered digitally, verbally, or in writing — are the intellectual property of Both Learners and Bilal Khan. They are provided exclusively for your personal use within the scope of your engagement.

  • You may not reproduce, copy, share, distribute, sell, publish, or commercially exploit any materials provided by Both Learners without prior written consent.
  • Our materials may not be shared with other students, third parties, or competing services in any form.
  • All website content — including text, blog posts, graphics, logos, images, and videos — is protected by copyright and may not be used without our written permission.
  • Feedback and testimonials you voluntarily share with us may be used (in anonymised or attributed form, as mutually agreed) for promotional purposes on our website and social media channels.

10. Confidentiality

Both Learners treats all client information with the utmost confidentiality and professionalism. We will not disclose your personal information, professional background, session content, or any details of our engagement to any third party without your explicit written consent, except where disclosure is required by law or a court order.

We ask that clients equally respect the confidentiality of any proprietary methods, frameworks, tools, or materials shared during sessions. These must not be shared with third parties, competitors, or other students.

11. Life Coaching — Important Notice

Both Learners' life coaching services incorporate personality analysis, goal-setting, numerology, and astrological insights as reflective and exploratory frameworks for self-understanding and personal growth.

  • Life coaching is not a substitute for psychological therapy, psychiatric treatment, counselling, medical care, or any regulated healthcare service.
  • Numerology and astrology, as used within our coaching, are employed as reflective tools for self-exploration — not as scientifically proven predictive systems.
  • If you are experiencing clinical mental health difficulties, we strongly encourage you to seek support from a qualified mental health professional.
  • All guidance provided within life coaching sessions is for informational and personal development purposes only. You remain fully responsible for all personal decisions made.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Both Learners, its founder, representatives, and associates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our website or services, including but not limited to:

  • Failure to pass any examination, assessment, or qualify for any professional membership
  • Loss of employment, income, business opportunity, or career advancement
  • Any personal, financial, or professional decision made based on guidance received
  • Technical difficulties, downtime, or errors affecting session delivery
  • Outcomes arising from changes to programme requirements by the relevant examining body

Our total aggregate liability to you, in connection with any service engagement, shall not exceed the total fees paid by you to Both Learners for that specific service.

13. Testimonials & Success Rates

Testimonials published on our website are genuine reviews from past clients and students, shared with their consent. Success rates quoted (such as "92%+ first-attempt pass rate") reflect historical data from students who completed our full mentoring programme and are not guaranteed outcomes.

Individual results will vary based on personal effort, prior experience, submission quality, examination performance, and other factors entirely outside our control. Engagement with Both Learners does not guarantee any specific result, grade, or qualification outcome.

16. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Pakistan. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms or any service engagement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Karachi, Pakistan, unless otherwise agreed in writing between both parties.
